He reminisces about the days of cheap plastic store bought costumes and being too old but trick or treating anyway. It's almost like his stand up act with kiddy pictures! Unfortunately, the tone is too sarcastic for children and references things that today's kids won't really relate to.

In my opinion people should lighten up about the book. Some people take things a bit too seriously. This is an entertaining book from start to finish. Both my 3 yr. old and 5 yr. old sons love this story. And, of course we do too. They think it is absolutely hilarious. Our youngest has the nickname "candyman" and this book fits him to a tee (in terms of being motivated by candy)..I agree with another review regarding the word "stupid" being used a couple of times. Another word choice would have been better. We have chosen to replace the word "stupid" with "silly." That took care of that.
We are hopeful Mr. Seinfeld will continue writing such entertaining children's books.
