Good alternatives to candy on Halloween?

Does anyone have any good ideas on what kids would like to get when they go trick or treating besides candy? I know, I know, kids want the candy but I really need some alternative views (don’t worry I still plan on using candy!) Do you think kids would like to get $.50 or something along those lines? Or maybe a small craft kit.I really just need ideas to bring to a group.

in advance!

Usually they have halloween-themed individual cereal/marshmallow bars, microwaveable popcorn packets, and goldfish crackers. if you want non-snack/candy stuff then try those small multiple pack play-doughs, halloween stickers and other party favors, plastic skeletons, spider rings, little pumpkin containers, etc. Also, I make halloween fortunes each year using Word.

include halloween fortunes, halloween jokes, and a spooky famous quote. I add holiday clip-art and use a creepy font.

I print them out on orange, green or purple paper and tie it with a contrasting ribbon.

are mixed in with my treat bags. Halloween Fortunes: A Name on the Wind, A Face from the Past, A Voice long un-heard shall be heard at last! Watch what you Say, Mind what you Do, For there is Someone watching you! Halloween Jokes: Why didn’t the skeleton cross the road? He didn’t have the guts.

can you tell when windows are scared? Answer: They get shudders.
